Wilhelms is the founder and managing partner of REDSERGE Ventures. He is an accomplished business executive with 25+ years of technology, sales, marketing and executive management experience with companies spanning early stage to Fortune 500 including Microsoft and Motorola. He has served on senior teams of companies as a founder, V.P. of Business Development, V.P. of Sales & Marketing, Senior Vice President of Global Sales, and CEO.
Wilhelms is a Microsoft veteran where he managed marketing and sales teams during the early stage, high growth years. He is a proven business leader skilled at creating go-to-market strategies, driving C-level and technical relationships with enterprise customers to deliver digital transformation solutions. Successful at developing global partnerships and building strong teams, he brings solid technical expertise and sound business judgement to drive market growth for technology companies in enterprise, financial and healthcare.
Wilhelms has developed and led negotiations on million+ dollar sales agreements with companies including Boeing, Motorola, HP and investment firms. He brings a solid understanding of financial transactions having presented to executive leadership for major corporations. He has been an executive-level participant in acquisition and investment transactions.
Wilhelms attended the University of Manitoba. He began his professional career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Alderson has held senior management positions including CEO, COO and CFO at multiple startup technology companies and senior staff roles at Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft (10 years) and Bristol Myers (3 years). Alderson has served on the Board of Directors of several technology companies.
A former certified public accountant at Deloitte and veteran management and operations consultant, Alderson has extensive advisory experience with startup companies, mid-tier concerns and Fortune 500 divisions. Alderson has performed on projects ranging from advanced spreadsheet business modelling, budgeting, operations, equity capital raises, process improvement, business development and revenue enhancement.
While at Microsoft, Alderson led worldwide finance and operations teams, was involved in M&A transactions, and managed dozens of sales, service and technology partners. Alderson spent time in sales, customer experience, and product groups developing a broad network of Microsoft decision makers and influencers.
Alderson earned B.Sc. degrees in Microbiology and in Food Science from the University of Washington and an MBA emphasizing finance and marketing from the University of Oregon.
